Sort has host the Lulu Love Tour for the last three year with the main purpose of  promoting and increasing women’s participation in whitewater kayaking in that area.

The local community of Sort loves the event and the good atmosphere that generates so everyone in town is always willing to help organizing and taking part in it.

The Lulu Love Tour - Sort 2019 kicked off on August 30th with several whitewater clinics run by professional kayakers and instructors who organized and designed them specially for the girls. The clinics offered consisted in introduction to whitewater kayaking, freestyle and rescue and rope skills. By organizing clinics the Lulu Love Tour has no no other purpose than giving the opportunity to the female whitewater community  to learn, practice and improve personal whitewater and kayaking skills.

On Saturday 31st the second edition of the Noguera Pallaresa Women’s Race took place, consisting in a Downriver Mass Start on the classic section of the Noguera Pallaresa river. All the participants had a epic battle for more than 20 minutes to finsih line. Friends and other paddlers waited until the last competitor crossed the finish line before the stoke float started all the way down to Sort.

Meanwhile in Sort a Pyranha Kayaks Test centre offered participants the chance to try and paddle all of Pyranha’s latest designs down the slalom course. In the afternoon the Open Multisport Race took place and combined running, swimming and kayaking. Men and women of the different categories raced together and despite the struggle to finish it, everyone gave it all and fought side by side until the end!

After the race winners were announced on the awards ceremony to come onto the podium to get their medals and prizes. There was a big raffle afterwards in which all the participants had lots of  chances to win more awesome prizes. Good music and a big “paella” dinner brought the day to its end closing this way another successfull edition of the Lulu Love Tour.

I attended the Lulu Love Tour in Sort for my first time last year and although I was just starting to kayak I had a total blast! I've been looking forward to this year’s edition so bad and it's been awesome to take part in all the activities. I learnt so much on the rescue clinic and had so much fun competing in both races! Good vibes and lots of new friends! Looking forward to next year’s!

The Lulu Love Tour is all about good lines, good vibes, love and friends! I am so glad I got to discover the Noguera Pallaresa river while sharing lines with awesome international women paddlers.

This is the story of river lovers united around their passion and caring about the environment. I loved the « global paddlers community » aspect of the event!

The Lulu Love Tour in Sort is the perfect event to attend if you want to enjoy whitewater while meeting new awesome people. I really enjoyed the Open Multisport race in which we all pushed ourselves on the three different stages. I also really appreciate the way the LLT cares about sustainability and spreads  awareness through this sport we love.
