This year for the second time in a row the Lulu Love Tour did a stop in Sort (Spain) to promote women’s participation in kayaking and for its first time ever this small town in the middle of the Catalan Pyrenees held the 1st Noguera Pallaresa Women’s Race consisting in a Mass Start, and Expert H2H and another H2H dedicated to the most novice paddlers.
On this second edition the participants had also the chance to take part on a Whitewater Rescue and Safety Clinic in which over than 20 girls learnt basic techniques of whitewater rescue and safety procedures.

It is hard to choose the best part of the LLT, because there were so many great activities and moments! All aspects of the event were fun, and the family it has created is incredible! Clinics in different specialties, good people, a sports environment, and a paella to finish; what more could you ask for?!

I showed at the event not knowing many people and not even speaking the same language as them but still felt really included and involved. The white water safety and rescue clinic was really good covering loads of different stuff. I thought this was really good as the younger kids were getting involved and learning the basics of river safety

I was sad when I first learnt about the loss of Lulu, but it amazed me how well they spread her good vibes, passion, and love for the river. It was all positive energy, learning, sharing, and enjoying. I especially loved the race on the Noguera Pallaresa River - it was my first descent "on my own" and that was very exciting!

The Lulu Love Tour in Sort was for me, particularly special. The event embodies the spirit of Lou who lived for these days on the river with friends. She was passionate about the promotion of more women participating in kayaking and she loved to compete. I imagined her watching down on us, cheering us on and smiling to see so many rad chicks out on the river.
